Hi we are the Parker family and we have been down a very rough and rewarding road with our 22 month old son Elijah. Elijah has been diagnosed with a very rare syndrome called Walker-Warburg.. This syndrome includes him having muscular dystrophy, hydrocephalus, blind in the left eye, he only has one kidney, he has seizures (as of now they have been controlled), and he has feeding and swallowing issues. So far we have been thru 9 surgeries and having the doctors tell us when I was pregnant to abort that he wouldn't ever make it and after he was born being told basically he would be vegetable but Elijah has proved them wrong about everything they said. He has been a fighter from the very beginning. He's a very happy and loving little boy that deserves the world... His diagnosis gives him a life span of 3 years.. Elijah will be 2 this September and I know God is going to see Elijah well past the age 3.. After Elijah was born of course I didn't to work for a year. I did get to go back to work after that first year but due to all his doctor appointments and therapy I am only able to work 3 days a week.. His dad does work full time and works as much overtime that they allow him. Financially we have struggled but we manage. Right now we rent a 2 bedroom trailer and it is an older trailer and is small. Elijah desperately needs another room for all his therapy equipment. The more therapy we do the stronger his muscles will get and improve his chance for a longer life. Our an Elijah deserves the world and we as his parents are trying and working so hard to give him the best life possible. So we are trying to get a down payment on a bigger place for Elijah. We would be so humble and would appreciate any donations. SO OUR CAUSE IS TO HELP AN ANGEL GET HIS WISH FOR A NEW BIGGER HOME❤❤ Thank you all if read this entire message.. Just last week we had a tree fall thru the bedroom of the mobile home we were living in and demolished it leaving us with no were to go.. God protected our family and no one got hurt. But our lives as we knew was turned upside down... So we desperately need a home for Elijah. My husband I lost about 90% of our clothes, our shoes, all of our bedroom things such as covers, sheets , pillows, pillow cases, our bed, our curtains, and our bath towels were ruined as well.. It has just been so heart breaking. Thankfully after a week of staying in a motel our landlord had a one bedroom apartment we could move to temporarily. It is small but a roof over our head so we are very grateful.. We are trying to adjust and we thank you all for any and all donations.
