Lexi was diagnosed with Metastatic (stage 4) Triple Negative Breast Cancer at the beginning of 2017 and underwent spinal surgery to repair (fuse) her spine due to collapsed vertebrae caused by the cancer on January 12 and 13th. She underwent radiation therapy to her spine and a tumor on her hip post-surgery. She is currently on her third form of Chemotherapy, due to the first two forms no longer working. On November 1st, Lexi was diagnosed with tumors in her head and was admitted to the hospital that day. She started radiation therapy to treat these tumors, but suffered a seizure on November 5th, which resulted in 3 days in the ICU and about 10 days of amnesia. A spinal tap was done on November 12th to relieve swelling and pressure on her brain which was causing migraine headaches. The spinal tap revealed that the cancer has spread to her brain.
