Hi friends, family and followers,
Recently Pender Islands favorite Boston French Bulldog Gus has fallen ill with his urethra plugged by kidney stones and a massive amount of pee in his bladder. Of course he couldn't tell anyone, and by the time it was figured out he only made it to the hospital with hours to spare. In true form, Gus pulled through the first night and we are waiting for his kidney function to return so he can have this life saving kidney.
Gus is only 4 and a half and has 2/3 of his life ahead of him!
This un-expected and sudden on set of illness has landed Gus in the Central Victoria Veterinary Hospital where he is still being cared for in hopes that we can bring home a healthy and happy boy. The staff have been phenomenal in caring for our little goose however this exceptional care has come at a high price.
Currently Gus' bill is estimated at $9000
Gus is loved and cared for by Jordan Hamson and Becky Smith who have at this point put down a large deposit and are trying to arrange a plan. The prognosis is very good as Gus made it through the first crucial night and with his care not yet complete they are in financial turmoil but were unwilling to put down a dog with such treatable conditions. in this case to save Gus they need some assistance in covering the remainder of his veterinary costs.
Anything at all you can donate is greatly appreciated. If you are not in financial position to donate the sharing of this link would be huge in showing your support for Becky, Jordan and most importantly Gus.
