Help Clara fund a realistic wig for chemo hairloss
Donation protected
Many people have reached out to me after my recent breast cancer diagnosis and have asked how they can help . I am very lucky to get all my treatment free here in Spain through the public health service but there is one cost that is very close to my heart and I can´t manage alone. My hair has always been a big part of my identity and helped to make me feel good about myself so I am dreading losing it when I start chemotherapy later this month. I recently had a consultation with a specialist wig service in Barcelona and was delighted and relieved to find an extremely close match made of real hair. As the colour is unusual and I want to keep the length the cost to make and fit the wig is high, around 1 300 pounds (1 400 euros). I am aware it will take years for my hair to grow back to how it is now. While my real hair grows back this will give me the confidence to get back out in the world and enjoy seeing people as well as go back to the teaching job I love so much. Anything you could give towards the cost would be really appreciated.
