Funeral Expense For Laura’s Mom

For those that may not know me, my name is Jasmine Huskey. Laura and I have been best friends since high school. And really, she’s more like family, like my sister. Her mom, Faye, took me in as her own without question when I was a teenager. She didn’t have a lot to give, but she gave me the most important things when I needed it most - love, comfort, and a feeling of belonging... oh, and let’s not forget, laughter. After all, she did deem herself my 4-year-old son’s Aunt Granny. Lol. She really made me feel like part of the family. I will be forever grateful for her and her life. I’m so blessed I get to call Laura my best friend. She is loving, kind, and thoughtful. Right now she is going through the most difficult time in her life, the passing of her mom. Her mom is currently in Arkansas, but is going to be transported back to Lexington, TN for the funeral and burial. This is where all of her family resides. The transportation of her body and funeral are going to be very costly. Her mother didn’t have a life insurance policy, so all of that financial expense is going to fall on Laura. I started this page to help raise money to go toward that expense. Laura has a lot of difficult decisions to make over the coming days and I would love to ease her burden during this time, as much as possible. The most important thing you can do is pray for Laura, as well as her sister, Angie. Pray for comfort, peace, and strength. Pray for wisdom and direction for all the hard decisions and planning they will have to do over the next few days.
