Evelyn Sutera was very recently diagnosed with ALS. Her response? "I don't have it." While she fully realizes she does indeed have ALS, the fire in her tells her otherwise. She's tackled every speech therapy and physical therapy session with perseverance and a smile or two, determined to prove to her therapists that she can do whatever they ask her to do. Her husband has been by her side for every appointment, doting on her every need no matter what, even though it's equally difficult for him to watch his wife of 48 years struggle through some good days, some not-so-good days. They are in this together. And so are their children, grandchildren, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law extended family and friends. We are joining together as "Team Buttercup' to show Evelyn (aka 'Nunnie' to her grandchildren) that she will never be alone in her fight.
