Saving George

hi my name is gorgeous George, up until recently me and my human mum used to love going on long rides together for hours on end, she would always let me snack on lots of grass! Unfortunately recently I have been feeling un well and lost a lot of weight rapidly, so my mum called the vet, who decided to steal some blood from me, I was so brave. I don’t mind needles, however once the blood was tested they found I had liver problems. Although I am still my cheeky bargey self, as the vets found out when I arrived for a hospital trip for 4 days, I was on a drip that got ripped out a fair few times because I saw a patch of green grass that looked too delicious, so I had to barge the vets out the way to go and inspect the grass, as I’m not usually stabled, although it was really nice having a snooze in there! I was wondering where the rest of my horse family was, as I usually graze with my mum and my grandad. The vets have done many tests on me, which haven’t shown much apart from liver damage, so the vets now want to do a liver biopsy as not much of my liver seems to be working. I’m being fed 3 times per day, and not gaining weight. Mum says the biopsy is very expensive and keeps crying into my mane because she’s struggling to afford everything. As my insurance came to an end 3 months ago. My mum is doing everything possible to keep me going however I keep losing weight. With your help I might be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel as we are desperately wanting to go for a pub ride this summer.
