Hello everyone, my name is Tatiana.
In 2021, my life changed overnight. My kidneys failed due to lupus nephritis, and I began years of dialysis. During that time, I suffered four cardiac arrests, which caused a severe brain injury. This left me with epilepsy and post-anoxic myoclonic jerks. Shortly after, I received a life-saving kidney transplant, giving me a second chance at life.
Since then, I’ve been working tirelessly in physical therapy to regain my independence. Recovery has been long and challenging, but I’ve made meaningful progress. While I still sometimes use a wheelchair or walker, I’m steadily getting closer to full independence.
One of the biggest milestones in my journey has been regaining the ability to drive. Driving again for over a year has given me hope, confidence, and the freedom to continue rebuilding my life.
Right now, my biggest challenge is not having a reliable vehicle. Having dependable transportation would allow me to consistently attend medical appointments, physical therapy, and the gym—where I’ve found a supportive community that helps me grow stronger every day.
My goal is to continue improving my health, regain full independence, and eventually return to work. A reliable vehicle would be a huge step toward that goal.
I am raising funds to help purchase a dependable used vehicle so I can maintain my appointments, continue my recovery, and move closer to a more independent future. Every contribution, no matter the size, directly helps me take one more step toward independence and healing.
Any support—whether through donating or simply sharing my story—means more than I can express. Even the smallest contribution brings me one step closer to recovery, and your support truly makes a difference.
