Approximately 9 years ago , Karen Tascione , was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins lymphoma in her lungs. Although she struggled with it,she didn’t let it get her down . She has been in long term remission ever since. About 2 months ago , Karen was injured at work and applied for workers comp/medical leave . She not been approved yet for any type of compensation /paid medical leave she is the sole provider for her family, so she was able to get out on light duty , so she can provide for her . About a month ago while all this was going on , she has not been feeling well an can barely function and has not been able to come back to work. She had also recently been hospitalized in the the beginning of November because she had tingling in her face and can barely walk due to her leg being in pain. When she went to the hospital to rule out a stroke, heart attack or any other issues they did basic scans, they sent her home with no treatment but to call her doctor. She is scheduled for a liver biopsy, that’s all the test they scheduled her for now. Sadly to say her non hothkins lymohona is back. This disease has shifted to her liver, during her recent hospital visit it looks like it’s spreading that’s why she can’t walk , Her doctors are working with her to treat it , but since medical leave/ workers compensation are giving her a hard time , they denied the Pet scan she needs to see if had spread(it is a very expensive test), and she has no car to to get to appointments/ work she is basic expenses transportation , any type of treatment that is not covered by insurance. Please help contribute to get her the back on her feet and get the medical care she needs to beat this disease and provide for her family.
