As most of you know, Austin had a horrible car accident late Friday night, early Saturday morning, the weekend of the 23rd. He has been in intensive care at Barnes Jewish in St. Louis since. His mom & dad have been there with him this whole time. Everyone knows how financially stressing this can be. My beautiful niece, Alexis, asked me to set this up for her parents & Austin. Me being me, knowing how my brother & Angie are, asked her right away if they knew because I didn't want to make anyone mad. She said at first they were hesitant because they didn't want to seem like they were asking for help. So she said she got a hesitant ok from them. Anyway, back to my handsome nephew, Austin has had nothing but one thing right after another pop up. He's been in ICU & on a ventilator since. Every bone in his face is broke, also broken jaws, ribs, spine & pelvic fracture. He also has severe bruising to his heart & some damage to a vein in his neck. Also extensive dental damage. He's been having problems with his blood pressure. Running a fever & now they think he has pneumonia! He has been scheduled a few times for surgery but each time it has been cancelled due to another problem. Austin gets highly irritated & wants to pull his breathing tube out so he's heavily sedated 90% of the time. No one is begging for help. My niece & I just know her dad (my brother) & mom aren't in any way rich. If you can help in any way possible, even if only a prayer, it is greatly appreciated! There's power in prayer!
