We are asking for your support. For those who are unaware, David had been feeling unwell since November. On December 28th, 2023 he went into Prompt Care for evaluation where he had lab work that showed some concerning results. They immediately sent him to Enloe Hospital where he was admitted for further work-up. Over the next 3 days, Enloe ran numerous tests and procedures on him to help determine David’s cause of him feeling unwell. They unfortunately discovered that David had a mass in his colon, liver, and his esophagus. To complicate matters, David developed a DVT (deep vein thrombosis- a blood clot in the leg) and they had to place a filter in the vein of his neck to prevent the clots from going into his lungs.

Two days later, on December 30th, 2024, David received the devastating diagnosis of stage 4 colon cancer with metastasis to his liver.

David plans to beat this!!! David’s fight began on January 16th, 2024 when he underwent surgery to remove his colon. He also began immunotherapy on January 22nd, 2024 in hopes to shrink the remaining tumors in his liver. This will be a lengthy fight as David is expected to continue immunotherapy for the next two years.

This has all happened very fast and as you can imagine, this diagnosis has come with the heavy burden of mounting medical bills and missed work wages. If you feel compelled to help us reach our goal of $10,000 for David’s recovery, it would be overwhelmingly appreciated and it would be going to a person who truly deserves our help.
