Hi everyone, I’m starting this fundraiser for My Mother. In the hopes of relieving the financial burden that comes along with a post kidney transplant. With your help and generosity I’m certain that any amount would be greatly appreciated more than you know. 

For those who don’t know this incredibly strong woman, first let me say thank you for stopping by and taking time to read this. Now let me give you a little backstory to how we got here. 

My mother Gloria is one of the most honest, caring and loving persons you could ever come across. She has given so much to others when she in fact has had very little to give at times. No questions asked. You need help, she was there! You need a warm homemade meal or a place to stay, she is there!

Unfortunately, at one point in her life she was hit with Kidney Disease. Since then she’s had multiple procedures/ surgeries, long hospital stays(months at a time), changes physically( losing all her hair NOT once or twice but many times),losing jobs, moving constantly(almost every year) and living with who we could. It’s been a journey for sure! But through it all she continued to fight and push through. 

After so many years of waiting and trying to stay as healthy as possible to stay on the transplant list she got “the call” for the 2nd time! There was a match! Everything was a go this time! She headed into transplant surgery! What a beautiful blessing it was! After so many ups and downs she made it! Finally I felt like I could breathe! No more dialysis 3 times a week, bye bye perma cath and the dreaded pain from trying to use the fistula in her arm! Lord!! 

But of course this was not going to be smooth sailing without bumps in the road! Mother spent about a month in the hospital after kidney transplant when we should’ve been out in a week! She made it with staying extra time in ICU, transplant floor and rehab. Finally got to go home but no longer than a week and she was admitted again due to complications. Came home again than admitted again but this time she is possibly facing rejection, scary but can be managed if caught and treated in a timely manner. So here we are folks…..waiting for results.
