Hello friends and family:
First, I would like to mention that I am embarrassed that it has come down to this, but pride aside this is something I must do for my health.
For those of you who don’t know, I was diagnosed with diabetes when I was 11 years old. For years I have tried my best to maintain my blood sugar at healthy levels but 10 years ago my kidneys began to fail me. In 2011 I was blessed enough to get a kidney transplant. Over the years I have been trying my best to manage all the expenses that came along with it. I recently had to buy a new insulin pump with a blood glucose monitor, which I need to manage my diabetes better to help protect the only kidney I have left. Unfortunately, after my insurance the pump still costs me $9,989.00 out-of-pocket. I have cut down costs where I could and have been picking up extra shifts at work whenever possible, but even then, I am struggling to make ends meet. With this in mind, I am asking for your help. If you can donate towards my insulin pump costs, I will be tremendously grateful, literally anything would make a difference. If you are not able to donate, I would appreciate if you could share this. I love you all and would wish you nothing more but good health and happiness.
