Me and my dad live together in a two bedroom apartment. We moved in together after we lost my mom to lung cancer three years ago. Even with us both working full time, we still live paycheck to paycheck. A couple days ago, he was admitted to the hospital due to bleeding on his brain. We found out that he's going to need surgery, which will put him out of work for an un-defined amount of time. In some cases, people have been recovering/out of work for upwards of 6 months after this surgery. I've been in contact with his employer, and they don't offer any kind of emergency paid leave. Also, due to the current pandemic he's only allowed one visitor for the entire time he's there, which is me. So, I am having to miss many hours of work, also unpaid. Our immediate concern right now, is making sure that he has a home to come back to. We are just wanting a little help to make sure that our rent, electric, and all other bills this month can be paid.
