Help us save a dog

Hi everyone, I’m in urgent need of funding future veterinary bills for me and my husband’s dog. Currently me and my husband are residing in Finland and our dog Rocky who is a 8 year old German Shepherd, has stayed behind in the United States until his paperwork was done and he was ready to be flown to Finland. He was taken very good care of by my mother-in-law who has experience with dogs.
Last Saturday we got a call that our dog was outside laying on the ground not moving, our mother-in-law tried everything and eventually had to call help to get him lifted off the ground to the car and rushed to the veterinary clinic. He is barely able to put weight on his back legs and his legs cross each other when walking. His doctor gave him pain medication and steroids since she believes the problem is a nerve pinch in his back. The doctor gave our dog until Monday to improve or
otherwise he would have to be referred to a specialist and possibly have an surgery.
Right now we are on that point that we got referred to South Paws Veterinary Surgical Specialists. We have an appointment tomorrow morning to evaluate our dog and what’s the official diagnosis.
Right now I have 7 euros on my bank account until the 18th of October when I get around 700 euros of government benefits. The surgery will cost up to $5000. We are in urgent need of raising money as well to the surgery itself and our plane tickets to the United States. We need help. I’m unemployed but have been applying for jobs but have got no response. My husband has been going to Finnish language classes so he can finally apply for an job here. Prayers are needed and very much appreciated.
UPDATE 10.10.2023
Hi everyone!
We want to update you about Rocky's situation. Rocky has seen the specialist and they took him for a quick observation. The specialist came back and stated the list of what could be wrong is very short. She stated it could be a tumor or something with a disk in his spine. Noted that she says its highly unlikely as he was able to walk better and was able to potty. She also said it could be FCE or a disease only german shepards can get. She doubts its the genetic disease due to him being in better condition than before. So in other words the specialist thinks its FCE which is a short spinal stroke caused by a pinch of some sort. In otherwords he currently does not need surgery, but the specialist wants testing done to make sure he doesn't. They want an MRI done which will cost around $2,500, the genetic disease test is around $205, and the hyperbaric chamber treatment she suggested is around $400 for 3 sessions. We will keep the goal the same incase anything more than these are needed for him. Once he is done healing we will try to start the progress to bring him back to my husband.
Thank you all for the current support!
