Help me move out west

Donation protected
Hi everyone, my name is Allen/Juno. I'm a 26yr old disabled nonbinary person of Métis descent. I'm starting this fundraiser to help me save up enough money to move myself and my cat from Halifax NS to Vancouver BC to move in with my best friend and in order to be closer to my spouse Estel, my partners, and my support system.

Because of the pandemic I have lived without my American spouse for over a year, and being away from them and the rest of my chosen family on the west coast has taken an extremely heavy toll on my mental health. Even before the pandemic, flying my spouse back and forth across the continent and border has been expensive for us and a huge stress on them.

I am also still living at home in an environment that was very traumatic to me growing up and continues to be. Not being able to distance myself from the environment and my bio family has prevented me from healing and does not help the decline of my mental health. Even though I have a full time job I unfortunately cannot afford to move out of my family's home and save to move out west at the same time, while also dealing with other living expenses and the debt I have from paying out of pocket for the college program I just graduated from. Being disabled means trying to find a second job that I can do without causing myself real harm has been extremely difficult when I am already working 40hrs a week at a physically, emotionally, and mentally demanding job.

Moving to the west coast with my best friend would allow me to be in a safe environment with people who care about me, it would allow me to finally make progress in my mental health and my transition, and it would make the back-and-forth across the border between my spouse and I far easier and more financially accessible. We could finally begin working on the immigration process to be in the same place permanently. Donations will be put towards the cost of the move itself as the long-haul moving box will be the most expensive piece, as well as adding to the buffer money I have already saved for rent/living expenses when I arrive in BC, and a little set aside for new (to me) furniture when I get out there, as I'm not bringing any with me to keep moving costs low. The ideal timeline would be for me to move before next summer. While I do not have a job lined up yet in BC because of the long timeline I am looking all the time and being in a Child Care career means there are almost always opportunities where I will end up.

Thank you so much for reading and thank you in advance if you are able to donate anything at all. Every little bit helps and I will be eternally grateful if I can achieve this dream of finally being able to move out and start living my life the way I want to.
