Crazy to think how much life can change in the blink of an eye..
12 months ago us as a family lost my brother and the help and support you guys gave us was incredible and we would not of been able to of brought him home with out you all..
12 months on and my beautiful caring mum passed away at only 63 years young on the 23.03.2024..
Early hours of 07.03.2024 my step dad was awoken by my mum having a heart attack with his quick thinking and CPR he saved my mum's life by continually keeping her heart going for 8 minutes until the paramedics arrived (Our Hero). Mum was taken to the BRI, she suffered a seizure on the way to hospital but they kept her heart going. She was placed into an induced coma and on life support in ICU. We did not know if she was going to survive that day/night.
Mum had a stents surgery the next day and the next 24-48 hours were critical .
Trying to wake mum proved difficult as everything was against her.. her heart, blood pressure & respiratory.. on the 11th day mum awoke, it felt like the best day of our life’s it was such a relief for us all but we we’re unsure if any brain damage due to the possible lack of oxygen.
The next day mum would open her eyes but not respond to anything and was just not there, we all fell with a big thud as we thought this was the start of recovery. Doctors wanted to fit mum with a tracheostomy to help her but due to it being a weekend they decided to wait to see how she progressed.
Mum woke again out of the blue she is amazing day 1, 2, 3 & 4
she was doing so so well they moved her from the ICU ward to the CCU ward where we had an amazing day on the Friday, she was talking with us, laughing with us & joking around we managed to hug her as they hoisted her into a chair. I mean she was confused at times as she had delirium and had to really think of what to say but it was the start of recovery we was waiting for.
❤️YOU DID IT MUM ❤️ She had survived!!
Saturday morning 6:15am my step dad had rang the hospital to check in on mum and all was fine, she had a good night.. 7:00am the phone rang it was the hospital ‘We are currently doing cpr’ WTF.. Why? How? I don’t understand she was fine?? But 7:30am she was gone they couldn’t save her
Mum died from a broken heart from loosing her son on 10.03.2023 she lost her mum on 26.02.2024 and fell ill on 07.03.2024.
She slept through my brothers 1 year anniversary and her mum’s funeral on the 21st they came and got her on the 23rd we are absolutely heart broken and I guess the only comfort we do have is she is with her son/our brother
I know it’s a big ask for help but every little helps to give mum a send off she deserves all she ever did was love ❤️ the most kindest and caring of souls.
Thank from our family to yours.
