A message from Noah’s mom, Becky:

December of 2023, our 8-year-old son, Noah was diagnosed with a mixed germ cell brain tumor in the pineal region. When we heard the news, our world froze in time. The doctor was trying to give us a lot of information but all I could hear as his mom was, “Pediatric Oncologist…Cancer…Brain Tumor…Cancer”.

During the visit with the oncologist, we felt a numbness and strength wash over us at the same time. Our baby boy… only 8 years old, was going to go through chemo and radiation. It will be a fight but the prognosis is good. I made the decision right then that I was going to be his rock. I wouldn’t cry in front of him, instead I will show him strength and give him space to be vulnerable.

We spent a little over 2 weeks in the hospital for tests and his first round of chemo. He was so positive during it. “I got this momma.” “I’m going to beat this and not have to do radiation.” “It’s ok, my hair will grow back.” His positivity fed us every day. He listened to worship music to fuel him during chemo injections. He smiled during every obstacle. His faith and optimism got him through his treatments and now he’s home, recovering from round 2, with 4 more rounds to go before radiation starts.

We don’t know exactly what’s ahead, but we are hopeful and staying focused on our precious boy, Noah. We have a lot of people praying for us and we know that is what keeps us moving forward each day. Thank you for your prayers for our boy and for our family.
