Believing for Vickie Gibb

Donation protected
Most of you probably know my friend, Vickie but let me tell you what I and so many others love about her.

She loves her family.

She loves her husband Dave with her whole heart.

She loves her four beautiful children James, Mary, Daniel and Aidan.

She loves her mom, Mary, sister, Carrie and her brothers Guy, Michael and Steven.

She loves Jesus and her church.

She is a Pastor who has supported many people in her church over the last twenty plus years.

She loves people.

She is a PTA champion, a Boy Scout leader, the Girl Scout cookie leader for years.

She is a faithful friend to those she knows from  High School, Bible College or someone she met last week.

She loves Long Island and especially Northport.

She is a woman who chooses joy.

You may or may not know, but in April of this year, a tumor was discovered on Vickie’s rib. On April 30, a 7 cm cancerous tumor, dedifferentiated chondrosarcoma was removed from the left side cartilage rib area. This is what she wrote on Facebook after the surgery, “My faith is strong and when I'm shaky I know that I have some awesome family & friends surrounding me in prayer.”

Isaiah 40:31 resonates with me: "BUT those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint."

The day before school started for her two youngest, she began her first round of chemo. The last week in September was the second round of chemo. The doctors will now decide if the chemo is working. So many questions to answer as this is such a rare form of cancer. If the chemo doesn’t work, Vickie will start going through medical trials.

We would love for Dave and Vickie not to have to worry about finances at this time and be able to focus on her healing and her family.
