Hello, my name is Connor and I’ll be taking part in a skydive to raise funds for an amazing charity, The Scottish Association for Mental Health (SAMH). £280 covers the cost of the skydive and anything extra will be donated to SAMH.

This is something that is so close to my heart having lost my best friend, Ryan McNaughtan, after he took his own life 4 years ago.

When I got the devastating phone call on the Monday morning about what had happened I was in work. I could do nothing but stand there frozen trying to process the words I was hearing. I drove straight to Ryan’s house in total silence, sobbing and in utter shock. I remember the day like it was just yesterday.

In memory of Ryan this year, I have decided to raise funds for an amazing charity, SAMH, helping people everyday who either have mental health issues themselves or know someone that does. If you could donate anything at all it would be so appreciated, you don’t realise how valuable this kind of help can be for people.

And a final reminder, never be afraid or ashamed to seek out help - even if you don’t know what kind of help you might need. Its okay not to be okay.
