Help Me Feed and Save Stray Cats in Patras, Greece

Hello,
My name is Siani.
This is not a future idea, it is a project already beginning on the streets of Patras.
It started with a moment I will never forget. During an Easter visit to Greece, I witnessed a mama cat give birth near my home. One tiny kitten, whom I named Geoffrey, was left behind. We tried to care for him and give him warmth and food, hoping his mother would return. But the next day, he had passed away.
That moment changed something in me. Not just sadness- responsibility.
What I am doing now
I am currently building a small, grassroots stray cat support project in Patras, focusing on:
- Feeding stray cats on the streets
- Providing basic medical care (fleas, infections, injuries)
- Supporting sterilisation to prevent suffering
- Working with local volunteers on the ground
- Creating safe feeding and shelter points
This is happening right now.
Why I need your help
Stray cats in Patras face daily:
- starvation
- disease
- injury
- extreme weather
- lack of medical care
How your donation will be used
Every donation goes directly into on-the-ground care:
- £5 → feeds multiple cats for a day
- £20 → food + basic treatment
- £50 → emergency vet care or sterilisation support
- £100 → supplies for shelter-building materials
Long-term vision
Once this grassroots system is stable, I plan to develop a registered charity through the Charity Commission for England and Wales and eventually build a permanent safe shelter for cats in Patras.
But right now, the focus is simple: keep cats alive, fed, and cared for today.
Why this matters
This is not just about animals. It’s about compassion, responsibility, and not turning away when something suffers in front of us.
Even the smallest donation helps turn suffering into care.
Thank you
If you’ve read this far, thank you.
Your support, no matter how small, helps create real change on the streets of Patras. Together, we can give these cats something they rarely get: safety, dignity, and kindness.
