Hey everyone, I was in an accident this morning while working. My car is my livelihood and I need to get it fixed to get back to working.

Over the last year, I became homeless after the injury I had at my old job. The loss of hours caused me to lose my apartment, and in August of 2024, I started living in my vehicle. I had to take early retirement with a penalty starting in February of 2025.

I've been trying to find stable housing, but the 3x rent/income requirement has kept me in my car. Only last week, I found a place in Gresham that is opening in the next few weeks, and they help people like me get into housing.

So, my car is important to me making a living and having a place to live in. I have been able to find a replacement hood for $175. Keeping the car at the auto body place is $175/day, and that will be at least 3-4 days. I don't have the estimate for the auto body labor yet. I'm still waiting for the tow truck to get me there.

The cost for the radiator repair should be less than $500. I have to stay in a room for a few days, and that is $70/night. My intention is to pay each person back that is able to help me.

I didn't want anyone to know my living situation, especially since it will hopefully be resolved within the next month, but I have no choice but to ask for help.

I will post all receipts of work completed and I will repay everyone - it will just take a bit of time. Thank you in advance for anyone that can help me.
