Hi my name is Ritchie. I came out to my friends and family in August 2023 but have known since I was very young that I was different.

Not many people know this but the issue for trans people is huge - the waiting list in Scotland to be seen is 5-7 years and that is only to get an initial consultation - you need 2 or 3 appointments to discuss hormones and your treatment plan which could take nearly 10 years.

My goal is to get top surgery to ensure that I can live my life as the real me. I would and will try and save as much as I can but in reality the likelyhood that I will raise 10,000 pounds alone is unlikely given that I have to self fund my hormones and blood tests despite GPs being encouraged to provide bridging prescriptions.

I am not pleading to people but just saying if you can help I would appreciate anything that anyone can put towards my cost. It is a long road and every little helps.
