Nathan Cuevas, a great young man in our baseball family suffered a traumatic internal injury while playing in a tournament this past weekend.

Nate collided violently with a teammate in the outfield on a fly ball. He was able to walk off the field on his own but soon started suffering from excruciating internal pain. He was rushed to the ER where it was determined his pancreas was badly lacerated. He was placed in ICU and then was transferred by air/helicopter from Fort Myers, where it happened, to then undergo surgery in Orlando. Recovery can vary individually, but they expect a three month recovery time.

As you can imagine, his parents have been beset with concern for their son during this difficult time. To make matters worse their medical bills are growing exponentially by the day.
