In Memory of Olivia (Liv) Katherine Brown

On the evening of May 5, 2023, our beautiful friend, Olivia (Liv) Katherine Brown, was attacked and fatally shot along with her friend while walking to her car after dinner. This senseless act of violence leaves so many unanswered questions and has heightened the fears of community residents in the Kennedy King neighborhood of Indianapolis where their brutal murders occurred.

In her short 24 years, Liv impacted so many lives both personally and professionally. After earning her master's degree in social work from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2022, Liv joined the Emberwood Center in Indianapolis as a therapist working with clients to address their mental health and addiction issues. Liv loved helping people. She had a serving heart and loved her profession. She was an advocate for addressing the importance of mental health in our society. Liv's energy, smile and laughter was infectious. She was full of life and on a path to create greatness in this world. She will be dearly missed.

In memory of Liv, we are asking for donations to help ease the financial burden of her funeral on the family. We are also raising funds to increase security measures in the neighborhood where her life was taken in the hope of finding justice for Liv, her family and friends by identifying the brutal killers who took her from us and preventing this random act of violence from happening again.
