We’re out of time.

My stepdad, Igor, is dying of Lewy Body dementia—a brutal disease that’s stripped him of his ability to work, to move his hands steadily, and soon, to live. My mom is doing everything she can to keep him comfortable, care for my 90-year-old grandmother, and manage her own health issues. But the financial weight has become unbearable.

They have no income. No savings left. No way to cover what’s coming due.

My mom is strong. She’s been selling her jewelry and trying to sell her car to cover the mounting bills. She’s caring for her husband, her mother, and herself on 2 hours of sleep and migraine meds—because that’s who she is. But this is too much for one person. It’s too much for one family.

This home isn’t just a house. It’s the last place they’ll be together. The backyard garden is the only thing keeping my stepdad grounded—he spends hours struggling to plant even one flower, but it keeps him going. This home is all we have left to give him peace, and all she has left to hold on to when he’s gone.

We’re asking for $50,000 to help keep them afloat—to save the house, cover medical costs, and give him a dignified goodbye.
