Support Jesses Battle Against Cancer

On Thursday, September 19, 2024, standing next to my husband, we got the news that would forever change the rest of our lives. My husband Jesse was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Cancer? At 34 years old? In that moment, we realized our life path, the path we had so carefully laid out, would alter. Jesse is the sole provider for our family. Questions raced in our minds. What do we do from here? Next steps seemed to be piling up. What do we start with? How do we make the calls to friends and family to tell them this news? Hearing the fear in their voices impacted me in ways I can't explain. This weekend our family all came together to surround Jesse with love. We leaned on each other, prayed over Jesse & spent time enjoying each other. United in our faith, we anticipate a brighter future. We welcome your prayers and encouraging wishes for Jesse. We have lots of things that we still have to figure out. How to move forward to keep our girls' home environment steady is one key factor in our mental well-being as we deal with this devastating news. Jesse's doctor has been quick to work on getting him into MD Anderson. We anticipate getting in there quickly, at which time the bills will add up pretty fast. From normal house bills to hospital co-pays, food, hotel stays, etc., we will need help.
