This page has been set up to help me with a situation that I have found myself in. Whilst doing a job that I enjoyed I was subjected to racist language from a fellow employee which afftected me deeply. As a hard working,proud, aboriginal man I found the language extremely offensive and unfortunately it made me very uncomfortable at the workplace. The management have investigated and there are further ongoing investigations. During this time, due to stress and the impact on my mental health, I have been unable to return to work. I am a long way from home and as I am required to be here for medical assessments and meetings I am unable to travel home to family and friends for support. The loss of income has meant I am in the position of being homeless and unable to pay for accommodation or my medical expenses. I have explored other avenues for help whist investigations are still taking place, but due to the circumstances I am not entitled to any emergency funds. Thus this gofundme is my last resort at keeping a roof over my head and allowing me to continue my fight against racial discrimination/bullying in the workplace.
