The Crushers Need a New Van!

Transportation is a critical component of our programming so that we can safely transport our youth to and from the club and their jobs with our local WorkForce partners.  Our main source of transportation, the Crushers Club van, recently caught fire after many years of use and is out of commission. No one was injured, but we are in crisis to provide the necessary transportation for the Crushers. Please help us raise funds for a new van so that we may safely support youth as they continue to develop their job and leadership skills.

Since Crushers Club opened its doors in 2013, we have provided support to over 500 acutely high-risk youth in need of the club’s targeted youth development/youth employment services. In Chicago’s Englewood neighborhood, Crushers provides a safe, caring environment for male youth who are either justice-involved or at the greatest risk of becoming involved in the juvenile justice system.  We do this through our programming, which includes adult/peer mentoring, leadership and job skills development, employment through our WorkForce Program, boxing and creative arts as therapeutic tools, and supportive services, including safe transportation.
