Dear friends and family I am asking for donations to help me go to Newark New Jersey to get treatment with an eye specialist that can help treat my condition. Those who know me, know that I can not see as I was born with an eye condition called retinidous pigmintosis or commonly known as RP. I can only see light and some shapes. As I entered my 20’s I lost most of my ability to see clearly as before I could use glasses or contacts. I don’t use them currently since they are of no use. Thanks to my sister Cecilia I am in contact with a doctor which specializes in reversing the effects of my eye condition. One of the first question asked was if I can still see light as it is important because those who can no longer see light can not under go treatment. I feel as though this may be the last chance I have to regain any vision as I have been told multiple times by various doctors in California that there is no cure but that one day there might be. I have Medicare but as of right now I don’t know if they will cover if any, medical procedures, treatment, medicines etc. One thing I know for sure is that they will not cover any costs for me to travel from California to New Jersey. I hope that you can find it in your heart to donate as I don’t have any money to seek outside treatment. I am not sure of the cost but I must start somewhere.
