Our dearest mother June Russell has reached her glory and will forever look down upon our family with love and grace. Her tireless effort and unwavering service has inspired her children, grandchildren, and great grands a

Our dearest June....A registered nurse who spent her life as a home attendant for the elderly. An immigrant who traveled from her mother land of Jamaica to offer her children a better life. A devoted wife of a Korean War hero. A devout Roman Catholic who said her rosary daily and gave out a miraculous medal to each grand and great grand for every birthday and Christmas. A protector, a confidant, a friend.
As our mother has laid to rest, it was her dying wish to be buried in North Miami Beach Florida where she would rest with her husband for 60 + years. The expenses of transporting her body, funeral processions, and burial would be a considerable expense on our families. We have had to bear the brunt of expenses with hospital visits, room and board, and other medical needs, and these expenses have put our family in a tough spot financially.
We are seeking your support to ease our burdens and grant our grandmother her dying wish, to rest with her husband. We’ve contacted the VA and various cancer foundations but have had little support. We hope that we can lean on you (friends and family) to chip in and contribute towards the rest. As of now our out of pocket expenses for the funeral, transportation, and burial is upwards of $8,000. Anything you can offer would be amazing. Thank you and in the words of our beloved mother “God Love You”.
