Maya’s Heartworm Treatment
Donation protected
Hi all, normally I wouldn’t ask for help but recently I have hit a few financial hurdles.
As you know I adopted Maya back in February. She was found as a stray and had no medical history. Originally she tested negative for Heartworm but apparently it takes 6 months to show up on a test.
I brought her to the vet the other week and asked about a cough that she had which lead to her getting re-tested for HW. They did the double test and both came back positive. The treatment is approximately $1,500.00 and then the office visits & xrays and other tests to find out what damage has been done to her organs, then retesting, I’m guessing is going to be well over 2k. This is not something that I can afford right now but it’s killing me know that there are foot long worms taking over her heart and lungs and arteries. Damage is being done every second and I can’t help her. Any donation you can make will be very much appreciated. Thank you!
