We want to introduce you to someone very special — Frank. Frank is the sweetest boy who brings instant joy to everyone he meets. He greets the world with the cutest little grunt, his tongue happily hanging out, and his tiny nub of a tail wiggling as fast as it can to let you know he’s thrilled to see you. When he’s not soaking up love from his pawrents and siblings, his absolute favorite thing in the world is chasing a basketball until he’s completely exhausted. Frank’s family, Sam and Graham, are two of the kindest, most compassionate people you could ever meet. They have opened their hearts and home to animals in need time and time again, including rescuing their kitty, Igor, and their other dog Lilly. Giving Frank the very best care during this emergency was never a question — but the unexpected surgery has come with overwhelming medical costs. Now it’s our turn to give back to the people who have given so much to animals who needed them most. Any support for Frank’s recovery means the world to this incredible family. ❤️
From Frank's mama:
Graham and my hearts are breaking. Our baby boy, Frank, is in the ICU, and we are so scared for him.
We brought Frank to the vet after he ate something he shouldn’t have and started vomiting. X-rays showed nothing, and his vitals looked good, but the next day, we knew something was still wrong. An ultrasound revealed a hole in his intestine, and he was rushed into emergency surgery.
After surgery, Frank began experiencing dangerous heart arrhythmias. An echocardiogram showed a large tumour on his heart — something that had never caused issues before, but the trauma of surgery has made it a serious concern.
So far, vet bills have exceeded $15,000. Frank still has a fighting chance. His heart tumour hasn’t caused problems until now, and we are hopeful that once he recovers, we can begin a treatment plan to give him the best years of his life. Frank is not ready to leave us — and we are not ready to say goodbye.
As some of you know, we went through a terrifying medical crisis last year with our cat, Igor, spending over $11,000 to save him. Now, just one year later, we are fighting for Frank.
Asking for help like this doesn’t come easily. We know times are hard, and we completely understand if donating isn’t possible. Truly. Even $1, or simply sharing this, means more than we can ever put into words.
Frank deserves a life filled with love, warmth, comfort, and joy — not pain or fear. We want to give him the best life possible, no matter how much time we’re lucky enough to have.
There are no words big enough to explain how special Frank is. He truly saved us. We know that one day we will have to learn how to live without him — but he is not ready, he is still fighting, and all things considered, he is healthy and full of life.
Anyone who meets Frank loves him. And if you haven’t yet, I promise you would.
Thank you for reading, for caring, and for loving Frank with us.
