Marty Tallent- Together We Will Win

Marty Tallent and his wife Erika have been on a journey for the last two and half years that they could have never prepared themselves for. From the first day they were told Marty had stage three cancer, they were determined not to give up or lose hope. Because Marty’s tumor was so large it required him to have his rectum, bladder and prostate removed. Through all of this he continued to work, endured chemo, be a husband, a dad and granddaddy. The cancer returned as stage 4 to both lungs and lymph nodes and he endured more chemo that didn’t work. In October they were told he had six to nine months to live. They decided then that they were going to try the holistic approach and the next scan showed the cancer had stopped metastasizing!! They could only praise God for this as this was the best news they could have ever heard. They had a follow up scan in March and it wasn't what they wanted to hear. The cancer was growing again. They decided they are not giving up! After much research they have decided to go to Germany for treatment. Germany is 25 years ahead of us in their medical advancement and they believe they can help Marty's case. They know that everything that happens is God's will but they also know that God gives us the peace to accept and the will to fight and Marty has proved that he is a fighter in all that he has endured. In saying this, the trip is very expensive. Any amount that you could donate would help them prepare for their journey whether it be $1.00 or $1,000.00 it will be greatly appreciated.
