Today, I found out that my dog Ivy needs urgent medical surgery and my heart is shattered.
Ivy is only 3½ years old, and she should be running, playing, and enjoying life. Instead, she’s in pain. Ivy is a rescue, and bringing her into my life changed everything. I didn’t just save her. She saved me in so many ways. She’s been my constant support, my comfort, and my furry best friend.
I learned that Ivy has torn ligaments in both of her back legs and needs TPLO surgery in order to walk and live without pain. The news was completely unexpected, and I’m still in shock trying to process it. It breaks my heart knowing she doesn’t understand why she hurts or why she can’t run after squirrels or do the things she loves. But she just keeps trusting me and trying to be strong.
I’m a young woman doing everything I can, but the cost of two surgeries is overwhelming, and I can’t do this alone. Asking for help is incredibly hard and uncomfortable, but I would do anything to ensure Ivy has a full life. The thought of her being in pain or losing her mobility breaks my heart.
Any amount, no matter how small, will go directly toward Ivy’s surgeries and recovery. If you’re unable to donate, even sharing this would mean so much.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading, caring, and helping my sweet girl get the chance to live a pain-free life again.
❤️
