Hello family and friends - I want to start by saying thank you- thank you all so much for everything you all do and continue to do for our family. I married the one and only love of my life 16 years ago, we have 5 crazy wild beautiful children whom we all love so much!
In April 2018, Jillian was diagnosed with stage 3c colon cancer- they did surgery to remove the tumor and she started chemo the next week. Over the next 6 months Jillian went in for a chemo infusion every other week. Jillian was cancer free after all those treatments. We were given another blessing when we learned Jillian was pregnant with our fifth child, a baby girl. Our hearts were then broken when we went in for her standard 3 month oncology check up in February and the labs indicated the cancer was back. The very next day they did scans and found NOTHING.... we were scared, but excited.
In early April, Jillian went in for some pain that she had been having in her liver area. After an ultrasound and blood draw, we received a message that the cancer number had went up again and they wanted to do another MRI. Unfortunately, the MRI showed dozens of spots on her liver. Over the next 2 days we were in contact with Mayo because we were not going to except what the previous oncologist had to say. 3 days later we drove to Mayo, had 4 appointments in 8 hour time frame. Day 2 at the mayo the next morning Jillian had a liver biopsy and they reinstalled her port. She underwent a course of chemo, but on follow up scans the chemo was not working and the baby would need to be delivered to allow Jillian to receive a more aggressive chemo. Our youngest child, Sadie, was born in June. Since she was born, Jillian has had her chemo adjusted, so far it has failed as well.
At this point - her options are quite limited for treatment. IF this next chemo fails , we are out of modern medicine options. Mayo doesn’t have any clinical trials currently for Jillian’s cancer and having to communicate this to my children has been a huge nightmare. On a different note, I have been researching different avenues- most of which are not in this country, along with using a different approach comes a high price tag(of course) I’m asking for HELP- the price tag is anywhere from low $70k to high$150- I’m asking for everyone to share this post, if you can even help by donating $5 or $10- any amount will help add up. I absolutely need to give my wife and children another chance at life and a life with there mom, it absolutely breaks my heart and devastates me that it has come down to this. I want you all to know that I am forever great full for all your donations, prayers, and gifts.... if you cannot donate financially I understand, I ask that you still share and pray..... pray hard- pray that god will lead us in this journey, and that Jillian will get another chance with all of our help. Giving this all to God has not been easy, but is all we can do. I’ve been reading a lot of bible verses to Jillian, we are finding peace in today and in God's promises.
