Our Beautiful Shané

For some, the most difficult loss is when a parent has to bury their child. This tragic end to such a young soul is felt by our entire family and friends. A close friend and oncology nurse once shared a quote with me, "When someone has cancer, the whole family and everyone who loves them does too." We have shared in all the ups and downs in this battle. We have had tears of joy and happiness for remission. And our hearts were broken when we learned our battle was not won. Shané's fight against Leukemia has been a good long fight. Many may not realize she was first diagnosed at the sweet age of 15. Her strength, courage and sweet spirit has kept her with us until she turned 21 this last April while in the hospital. We are deeply saddened by our loss. Our only hope and prayer is our sweet girl is in peace. Shané will forever be in our hearts. I am reaching to all my friends and family. I have set up this gofundme in honor of Shané Alyssa Hancock.
