On Monday, June 4th, a great man lost his life.. We received the phone call no one plans to get, nor can anyone prepare for. I lost my best friend, my Father, and a Husband to my Mother who supported him through life for 30 years. There are many who know his story, and many who don’t. I have so much sadness that I’m even doing this, because this is the last thing that would ever cross my mind in doing.. My dad served 20 honorable years in the Air Force, retiring as a Master Sergeant at Eglin Air Force Base. Shortly after retiring, my dad became a State Trooper and served 5 years in that field before some unforeseen events took place that would forever change our lives. The Health of my Dad over the last few years took a downward path, all that came unexpectedly as he was the last person we ever would have thought this would happen to. Unfortunately, because of what has recently taken place so suddenly, there are many things that weren’t in place at the time of his passing that my mother and I are left to take care of and sort out. My father didn’t have the ample time due to his financial situation, to finalize a life insurance policy as well as some other things that weren’t in place for an event like this that you never plan for.I refer back to the story that all of what I’ve mentioned goes back to, I’m just really not in the state of mind to reflect on that with all that has gone on this week..All of this is still new to me, and I wish I was good at any of this, maybe it would be a little easier. I’ve never been one to ask for help with much of anything, but it’s been brought to our attention that maybe this would be a great tool in gaining some type of relief.. I’m 26 years old, the only child of my parents, asking for help for my Mother who has sacrificed so much for me, and for this family over the years. When all of the events that took place with my Dad in 2009, the summer going into my Senior year of High School, she was there every step of the way to make sure I didn’t skip a beat at my life, even with everything that was going on.My mom is left with a lot to take on in the wake of all of this. The Military will only cover his burial unfortunately, everything before that we have to take care of. I can’t thank you all enough for the amount of support we’ve received this far, and any and all help is nothing short of a blessing for our family. Please share, and continue to pray for the world! Thank you for taking the time to read my short story. Love...
