My father, David Biernesser was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, a very aggressive form of brain cancer that is incurable. Ultimately, he will have to endure cancer treatment for the rest of his life. The hospitals prognosis is basic chemo and radiation to manage the tumor, leaving him with an average life span of 12-18 months. My family is not willing to accept that and we are going to fight to provide my father with the best available treatments out there. This diagnosis came out of the blue and has had an immediate devastating impact on all of us. My father is otherwise a healthy 60 year old man, who has spent his whole life caring for others, especially his 3 children. He has also impacted the lives of many students over the past 15 years, working with special education children. Being out of work has left my father with disability as a source of income. This is ultimately leaving him with only a percentage of his regular paycheck that is very difficult to survive on; and almost impossible for a man battling life threatening cancer. Any donations, no matter how big or small would be greatly appreciated to provide him with the care he needs and deserves.
