We’re in the final push to get Good Bones up and running, and need some help!
Chef/Owner Miles McCreary has self-funded this project so far, and with opening now just around the corner, it's time to reach out to our greater community to ask for some support.
The restaurant:
Good Bones is located in a storied venue known for decades as “The Caspar Inn”, a roadhouse with an unobscured view of the Pacific Ocean, situated between the towns of Mendocino and Fort Bragg. In addition to a 2000 sq foot restaurant and bar, the space includes a large stage and event space. Over the years, the kitchen offered food and drinks to an eclectic mixture of both locals and coastal visitors, and the stage has seen hundreds of local musical acts and events from near and far— regularly hosting more than 150 people in a given evening. Its legendary history is not only a testament to the space’s viable location, capacity, and appreciation by the local community, but also its tremendous future potential.
Any funds raised will go directly towards start-up costs for the restaurant, primarily some key kitchen equipment that will ensure we’re able to run smoothly from the day we open our doors
Some items on our list are: a freezer, another refrigerator, a commercial mixer - and maybe even a proper bread oven if we can raise enough funds!
If you’re interested in helping us acquire a specific item, let us know. We have a registry-style list going, and are happy to share it with people who want to know exactly what their contribution goes towards, and might want to help fund a specific piece of equipment.
