Jill's battle with Multiple Myeloma
Donation protected
Jill Hoffman is waging a war against cancer. She has been diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, which is a blood cancer in her bones. This has been a very long road to finally discover her diagnosis.
She started having back pain at the end of May, which got worse in the next week. We went to the ER and they did an X-ray and determined it was muscle spasms. They gave her some medicines and sent her on her way. In the next three weeks the pain slowly progressed to the point where she had to miss work, and then finally go back to the ER, this time UofM, for a longer stay and more tests. They did an MRI which showed abnormalities on her spine and ordered a Nuclear Bone scan. They wouldn't keep us in the ER so we had to do it as any outpatient procedure. Which was done the beginning of July. Those results were inconclusive and a CT scan was ordered to be completed the next day. We never made it to the CT scan, Jill was in so much pain and couldn't move, so I called an ambulance and she was taken to St. Joseph in Ann Arbor where she was evaluated. Her kidneys were in failure, her calcium was off the chart and she was very weak. She was admitted and taken up to the Oncology floor. Up there they did a Bone Marrow Biopsy and it came back positive for Multiple Myeloma which is a blood cancer In The bones. She is on Multiple medications , chemotherapy, physical therapy and occupational therapy. Between those 4 above and the various ER visits and this long hospital stay, plus all the after care and specialty doctor visits coming up, her medical bills will be astronomical.
If you are able to help, she would greatly appreciate this, if not, please share and spread the word. Jill Hoffman thanks you and I thank you. May god bless you!!

Jill before all this happened, happy and healthy.
