Love for Harrison

Hello family and friends of Harrison, George, Michael and Stephanie Monson. My name is Megan and I am Michael's sister, I have created this Go Fund Me as a way to help offset the medical bills that accompany baby Harrison's medical needs.

 

At her 24 week prenatal appointment, Stephanie (and Michael) were informed that their baby was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect known as Transposition of the Great Arteries with a ventricular septal or TGA with VSD. With this information, Michael and Stephanie learned that Harrison's defect would need to be corrected within the first week of life. Michael and Stephanie were surprised to welcome another baby boy, Harrison James on January 31, 2022. The delivery went well and baby Harrison is proving to be a strong, sweet little boy. He has been in good care at the U of M Childrens Hopsital NICU where Michael and Stephanie continue to be at Harrisons bedside as much as possible while trying to juggle life at home with a toddler. Harrison's (more than 8 hour) open heart surgery was completed February 4, 2022. We are hopeful that Harrison will make a speedy recovery and big brother, George will be able to meet and hold his little brother as soon as possible.
