Fighting Cancer

Hello Everyone,

 

I am writing you to tell you about my best friend’s mom Emilia Celeste DaCosta better known as Celeste to her loved ones. Celeste is not just my besties mom but she has also taken me in as her own. She is the most caring, humble, loving person that is willing to take her shirt off her back to give it to you. She is also funny and will put you in your place real quick. You don’t want to get her mad because she will tell you off. LOL. She is married to a wonderful husband name Jack for 39 years now. They have two children Jack Jr. and Adelina and three grandchildren Kaitlyn, Jack III and Derek Jr. They are the most loving and caring family, always together and supporting one another and Celeste is who holds this family in one. She is the center of this family. A family that if you needed anything will be right there for you no questions ask.

Last year, she started to not feel so well. She was having pain in her stomach and throwing up. She would be in pain and just thinking she eat something bad. She had gone to the doctor and unfortunately, Celeste was diagnoses with stage 4 stomach cancer. The family was destroyed. There were no words to explain how everyone felt. The pain of knowing that her cancer was so progressive was horrible but she wanted to fight and live. She is willing to do anything to get better and to live to see her grandchildren grow. Her sprit was not killed with this news it gave her more strength to live but unfortunately things just went downhill from there.  She was in and out of the hospital. Chemo-therapy was not going well with her. Her session made her weak and more sick. Everyone schedule had to change.  Her children miss work to be there for her. Taken time to go to the doctors and caring for her at home.  I have seen firsthand how this family is struggling and they need your help. Celeste and her husband both are disabled and could use a little of everyone’s help. Even with their children’s help it is a daily struggle keeping up with whatever medical finances as well as to everyday living expenses. I have watched both children try and help as much as they can and it is very overwhelming. This family has been through a lot and is in need of all our help. Please find it in your heart to help them get back on their feet. Celeste is a wonderful woman and is fighting every day to beat her cancer.
