Curing my wife

Donation protected
Medical Update on Michelle - She had been doing extremely well for 3 1/2 years; not cured, but the scans were progressing in the correct direction. The growth in her lung was steadily shrinking. I suffered a stroke in 2021 but was able to recover and keep working and provide the needed insurance. The scans kept showing slight improvement. She had her left adrenal radiated due to growth there. Everything was wonderful, between the money from donations and insurance we were able to keep the monster at bay. Michelle modified her diet and supplement regimen to further defeat the beast trying to kill her. The supplements and fresh everything can be quite expensive but needed. The scans still were slightly improving.

Then about two months ago she began to experience some pain in her lower back. With her current, doctor we scheduled the scans. Unfortunately, our worst fears have come true. The beast has progressed from her lungs to her lower lymph nodes and the right adrenal gland. The first treatment plan from the doctors was chemotherapy. This is not the path that all of Michelle’s work suggested, nor what she wanted to do. No matter what, the decisions involving her body are hers and hers alone. No matter how much any treatment scared me. The decision is hers alone. I respect and honor that and fall back to my task as a husband to make her desires come true. Something I take very seriously.

She has found some institutions that tailor the treatments closer to her wants and in fact, make more sense than traditional medicine. However, insurance does not cover these treatments. This makes my task of making her wishes a reality, difficult. The costs involved range from $50,000 to 65,000 dollars. While I can work full-time, I do not have the same amount of energy that I did before the stroke. Trying to work an additional job would probably not be possible. I am trying to get design work that I could do at home as a part-time source of additional income.
Michelle also contacted MD Andreson in Houston Texas to see if any other options would be covered under insurance that did not involve chemo. They do have a trial that she would be able to participate in at her own expense. This requires her to travel to Texas for 10 weeks straight and then once a month after that. This can get quite expensive along with the additional medical test and treatments required. As of right now, she is enrolled in the trial to see if this medication can stop the growth of the cancer. She will have upcoming scans to see if this is working. I hope that it will work but I want to be ready financially for whatever she needs.

This is where I turn to go fund-me with my plea for help. Please consider donating to help Michelle continue fighting this terrible disease.
Thank you for taking the time to read my plea.
