Decimated by the flood, help Andy rebuild.
Andy Edwards is one of the kindest people you could ever hope to meet. If anyone had a problem, Andy rolled in to try and fix it for them.
Now Andy has a problem. A BIG problem.
In 2019-2020 his community, and much of Australia, got hit by fire. 26 people died in NSW and nearly 3000 homes were lost. Andy spent that Black Summer, as a Rural Fire Service volunteer, defending the lives and property of people he’d never met. He did that for months. And you can’t work when you’re doing that 16 hours a day.
When he wasn’t at the fire front, he was on his bulldozer cutting fire breaks and burning his own fuel. The fire got to within a few feet of his house but with luck and the massive effort of the RFS, not a single home here was lost.
Fast forward to 2022 and the fire turned to flood. And the flood got Andy.
At 1am on March 8th in Putty, NSW 4 feet of floodwater engulfed his house. It swept away fuel tanks, tyres, furniture, precious photographs, and much of Andy’s life. Maybe worst of all, it destroyed the machinery and tools he needs to make a living.

The house still stands, but only just.
Andy swam to safety, with his dog Heckles under his arm, but nearly everything else was gone. And he needs your help to rebuild his house and his life.
