Help Ed Heal
Donation protected
On Tuesday, February 28, our dear friends Kelsey and Hunter had to rush their beloved dog Ed to the ER after noticing he was extremely bloated and could not throw up.
The first ER they went to confirmed the severity of his condition but said they couldn’t take him in. Finally, at the second ER they tried, Kelsey and Hunter were able to have Ed seen by a veterinarian.
The veterinarian was very concerned about his bloating and the possibility of his stomach twisting, which would require him to need emergency surgery. So, he was kept overnight.
Today, his bloating still hasn’t gone down, and he was given a tube and is now hooked up to an IV.
The hope is that these steps will help his bloating subside, so he can go back home.
As you can imagine, this has been heartbreaking and stressful for Kelsey and Hunter, and all they want is Ed to get better.
They have been able to visit Ed in short increments at the ER, but being away from him and seeing him so sick is incredibly difficult.
If you know Kelsey and Hunter, you know they are the kindest, most generous humans who help so many. I’ve never met anyone who has a bigger capacity for love for animals.
And if you know Kelsey and Hunter, you also know how much Ed means to them. Ed is truly their child, Kelsey’s best pal for over 9 years, and the “sweetest chocolate nugget.”
Just like his mom and dad, Ed is a natural caretaker, too. He keeps the Ivey household and those in it in order — and runs a tight ship. He watches over his people to make sure they’re okay. He loves to greet guests by pulling out his toys and telling you all about them. He loves his cat, Bruno.
Now, as Ed needs around the clock care, medical costs are rapidly stacking up, and we want to do everything we can to get Ed healed and back home to Kelsey and Hunter where he belongs.
Please join us to help alleviate some of the financial burden Kelsey and Hunter are facing — so they can focus solely on their sweet boy Ed.
