Help with Dad's Funeral Expenses

Edit as of 1/23: Dad lost his battle to Multiple Myeloma. We are in need of some help with funeral expenses. Any help is appreciated.

Edit as of 12/31: Dad has been in the ICU for about a week. He is intubated and has a ventilator helping him take breaths. His ammonia levels are high (caused by his cancer) so he is also on dialysis. As of right now, we are working on getting him transferred to a bigger facility with more options. His cancer has spread, but luckily has not hit any of his vital organs. At this time, his doctors at the Marshfield Hospital are signing off, and giving up. Every dollar helps with getting him transferred where he can get the medical help that he needs.

Hi. My name is Cheyanne and I am trying to raise some money for my dad, Dennis, who is currently battling multiple myeloma. Multiple Myeloma is a cancer that forms in plasma cells in the blood.

Last month, my dad went into the emergency room because he was having severe back pain. He had a huge lump on the top of his spine that developed very quickly. After many tests, scans, etc, he was told he needed to go into emergency surgery to remove the mass that had formed on his spine. Well, it turns out that if my dad had not had the mass removed, he would have became paralyzed. Unfortunately, the doctors were not able to remove the entire mass and they had even found smaller ones down his spinal cord.

After the biopsy results came in, we found out that he had myeloma... and after a bone marrow biopsy, he was diagnosed with multiple myeloma.

Because the masses are on his spinal cord, his mobility has become very limited and he is has been in the hospital for the past few weeks. He has finished his radiation treatments and just started chemotherapy this past week. Until he gets his strength and mobility back, he will remain in the hospital.

As you can imagine, his medical bills are piling up. He is unable to work currently which has become very stressful on him and all of his kids. We are doing everything we can but we need a little help. My dad has never asked for help in his life. He's so strong and I know he can make it through this, but as a man that has done and sacrified everything for his family, he deserves to get a little back for all that he's done.

If anyone is able to donate any amount, we would very much appreciate it. Again, my dad has done so much for his family and we know he can kick cancer's a$$. :)
