Funkey Family

For those who don’t know me, I am Jessica, Julie’s cousin. I’m doing this to help her through this awful time that her and her boys are going through. Some of you may already know but for those who don’t, we lost Dave unexpectedly yesterday. Not only was he a great son/brother/uncle/friend/coparent, he was the best dad he could be, he love his 3 boys more then anything! Dave and Julie did/do everything they can for their boys and we’re able to be in a good place of coparenting together. One thing Dave looked forward to and they vowed to do every year with their boys was to go on the JDRF (walk for diabetes) for Julian, their middle son. Julie is now doing EVERYTHING she can think of to make sure the boys get the help they all need coping with the loss of their dad, but is now carrying 100% of the financial burden. As we all know, this gets expensive. On top of this all, Dave’s funeral & burial will be up in Michigan where he grew up, there will also be a memorial in Jacksonville, but Julie and the boys need to and want to be at both. Which means more time off work, gas money (they will be driving from FL to MI for funeral), hotels, food, etc. Extra money left (if any left) will go towards the memorial and taking care of unpaid stuff for the boys, sports, school clothes at end of summer, just basic necessities. ANY help is very much appreciated, whether it’s a monetary donation or just through simply sharing this as much as you can.
