Hello friends and family. I am creating this GoFundMe for my son Antonio. Unfortunately, my son has not had the best of luck lately and has run into some medical issues the past few months, more than anyone at his age should go through.
Antonio had emergency surgery in December for his appendix; he was out of work for a month recovering. In February, he had another emergency surgery for his gallbladder; he was out of work again for another month. Unfortunately, again, he had emergency surgery in July on his hand due to a partial finger amputation; he will be out of work again for another month.
Antonio is a proud member of AZ Sheet Metal Union. His work is very strenuous and not something he can return to without the proper healing. My son is only 26 and one of the hardest and most dedicated workers. He had to go through all of his savings just to be able to stay afloat. He has no savings left and has his monthly bills—rent, car payment, etc.—and a daughter to take care of and is moving September 30th. My heart breaks for my son. He is a loving, hardworking, and giving person. Everyone who knows Antonio or has just met him in passing loves him and always compliments me on what a hardworking, respectful young man he is. He is responsible and tries his best in everything he does. One of his quotes that he always says is, "There are no excuses." That's how much he keeps pushing through, even through the most challenging times.
I am a very private person when it comes to social media and my (our) personal life, but I felt like I needed to do this because he deserves a break. Life has been beating him up lately. He does not know I have created this GoFundMe because he does not believe in asking for handouts; he would rather work for everything he gets, but he can't, and that's what's the hardest on him right now. Antonio is the man of our family and always goes out of his way to make sure me and his sister are always okay. I am not asking for much; anything helps. If I could have one wish right now, it would be to cut him a break. I feel like he truly deserves it in return for all he does. Thank you for reading, and thank you for all your help and support. You are appreciated.
