Hello, my name is Nathan Barrett. It is with deep sadness that I say that I lost my mother following a brief battle with pancreatic cancer on 8/11/25. She was a mother, a fiancée, a sister, a grandmother, and a beloved friend of many. You could always find my mother with a smile on her face and a laugh that would bring you to your knees.
Upon losing my mother, it was realized that my mother did not have a life insurance policy, placing the burden of funeral expenses on the family. Unfortunately, I know this has been a shared experience with so many others. No one should have to endure the financial stressors of laying a loved one to rest at a time when we are just trying to mourn and commemorate the loss of the people we love, but it is a sad reality.
It is unfortunate the situation that has been brought upon us as a family, and we are doing all that we can to lay my mother in her final resting place. But life keeps on life-ing and the bills keep on rolling. If anyone could extend a hand of help, it would be more appreciated than could ever be offered with words.
